Red Cube Pictures is proud to announce the completion of our latest film, THE HERD!
Directed by Colin A Borden, written by Andy Nellis, produced by Anna Ramey Borden, Rob Overbeck, and Marica Woske, and edited by Benjamin Callahan, THE HERD tells the story of a post-apocalyptic frontier family and their struggle to survive in a harsh reality.
Andy Nellis’ script for THE HERD (then known as “More Cow Bell”) won best short screenplay at the 2015 Nantucket Film Festival and was acquired by Red Cube Pictures shortly after. Culminating in a bone-crunching fight scene choreographed by Al Goto (Better Call Saul), sharp humor coupled with poignant drama lead in this pulp-inspired thriller and we can’t wait to share it with you!
“When Andy Nellis first pitched his script to me,” says director Borden, “he said, ‘It’s about a boy who falls in love with the family cow. To tell you more would ruin it.’ Obviously I had to read this thing. When he sent it to me, I was instantly hooked.”
THE HERD is off to the festival circuit, so stay tuned here and on our Facebook page for news and upcoming screenings near you!
